Meetup Night in Montenegro

September 30, 2023

On September 14, our team in Montenegro held their first Meetup Night, to share knowledge amongst our colleagues. For this meetup, three of our teammates gave presentations on topics from their area of expertise, for the local team to enjoy and learn from. Our first presentations came from developer Andrew Zlobin, delivery director Garegin Kasaryan, and project manager Sergei Barsukov.

Deep Dive Into the World of Full-Stack Development: A Journey Through Practical Insights - Andrew Zlobin

Andrew presented this topic, because for him it was an opportunity to see development on a single project from different angles, to hear different opinions from one person.

“I am always inspired to talk about my profession, my role in the company, and, if possible, to inspire people to get involved in full-stack development—to be able to participate in the development of all aspects of their project.”

Andrew’s biggest takeaways from the talk:

  • Full-stack development is an opportunity to participate in the development of all aspects of your project;
  • Full-stack developer has more opportunities for development and growth (because you need to be proficient in several different programming languages, frameworks, tools and so on);
  • Full-stack developer has a huge responsibility for his project and the work he has done;
  • Full-stack developer can be an excellent mentor. Especially for those who want to keep their core skills and try a new direction.

Unlocking Team Collaboration Efficiency with Slack: Tips and Advanced Features for Productive Workflows - Sergei Barsukov

Sergei, our Slack expert, shared several tips for optimizing our Slack workspace and getting the most out of all the features. As Slack is a tool we use on a daily basis, but don’t always think too much about how to use all the functions, this was a useful presentation to show how to organize, connect, and efficiently manage our work using Slack.

Let’s talk!
