How do you use Optimizely? With a team full of Optimizely experts and enthusiasts, it only makes sense that our team would create meetups to discuss Opimizely topics. And that's what Milos Rankovic, our senior .Net and Optimizely developer, has accomplished with the Opti Club.
The goal of this group? To bring people interested in Optimizely closer together.
Milos has been working with Optimizely since 2007, back when it was the Episerver version 4.60. As someone with this much experience with the product and tools, it only makes sense to dive deepr into these topics with colleagues.
“I wanted to get to know people at First Line Software who are interested in Optimizely, and organize knowledge-sharing sessions. This eventually became the Opti Club, with its own dedicated Slack channel.”
And this community is not limited to only Optimizely experts and enthusiasts.
“Everyone is welcome! Especially people interested in the Optimizely suite, CMS and DXP in general can benefit.”
The Opti Club’s first meetup of 2024 focused on two hot topics from the Optimizely world. Milos led the discussions about AI in Optimizely products, which included demos, and Inversion of Control (IoC) techniques.
“Obviously, AI is in demand these days. And we should get familiar with what Optimizely’s plans are regarding using that technology in the domains of CMS, DXP, DAM and experimentation. This part of the talk was informative and doesn't require developer experience to follow.”
“The second topic was more technical and I shared a real-world developer problem and solution. My goal was to make a balance between informative and technical topics so there was something for everyone.”
These subjects are particularly top-of-mind for Milos, as he deals with them on a regular basis.
“Regarding AI, I'm using it to get coding advice, and knowledge and to boost some tasks like text generation, summarization, and image generation. As for IoC techniques, I deal with it almost every day at work.”
