Rolling Up Our Sleeves: World Clean Up Day with First Line Software

September 22, 2025

At First Line Software, impact doesn’t stop at client projects. It extends to the communities we live in. This September, teammates in Stuttgart, Germany and Budva, Montenegro took part in World Clean Up Day, rolling up their sleeves to make public spaces brighter and more welcoming.

Armed with gloves, bags, and plenty of good energy, our teams collected trash, cleared paths, and shared laughs along the way. More than just cleaning up, the days were a chance to connect outside the office, contribute to the places we call home, and feel the results of teamwork in a very tangible way.

Here’s what some of our colleagues had to say:

Natalya Nazarova | Stuttgart, Germany

For me, it’s really important to join initiatives like this because it’s a way to take care of the place we live in. I feel we shouldn’t wait for someone else to do it — we can just jump in and make a difference ourselves. Plus, it’s really cool to meet colleagues outside of work and spend some quality time together while doing something meaningful.

I think these initiatives matter because we can actually see the difference we’re making right around us. By supporting local initiatives like this, we do not only help our own community, but also feel connected to a bigger, global movement — especially on a day like World Cleanup Day, when so many people around the world are taking action. It’s also a great way to meet new people, strengthen our sense of community, and show that we genuinely care about the place where we live and work.

Lisa Chul | Budva, Montenegro

I was inspired to join World Cleanup Day by my upbringing and the value I always place on order and harmony in my space - not just at home, but everywhere I go. I'm glad I was able to organize and participate in this initiative: my morning began with a useful activity and continued with a pleasant breakfast with colleagues.

I see great value in charitable and social activities. I want as many colleagues as possible to join them, because even small efforts and a little time yield noticeable results and a sense of pride in yourself and the people with whom you share this experience.

Cleanup days are simple, but they leave a mark: cleaner spaces, stronger communities, and lasting memories. We’re proud of what our teams accomplished and look forward to continuing these initiatives in the future.
