The project and your role

We are seeking a proactive Senior .NET Developer to join our team and work on an internal enterprise application designed for managing and performing real estate property appraisals.

The project is currently in a stabilization phase, which requires a developer who is comfortable debugging complex systems, addressing technical debt, and ensuring the backend is robust and scalable. You will play a key role in stabilizing existing functionality while also implementing new features within a sophisticated architectural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of backend functionality to address technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance optimization.
  • Independently analyze and troubleshoot production and pre-production issues using Azure Application Insights logs and telemetry to identify and resolve root causes.
  • Review and improve Pull Requests to maintain high coding standards and overall system integrity.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, specifically working within the Anchor Model pattern, while implementing new functionality as required.
  • Work closely with the team during the stabilization phase, providing technical leadership and proactive problem-solving.
  • Rapidly onboard into the existing codebase and work independently to meet project goals in a fast-paced environment.

Your skills

  • Extensive experience in backend development using .NET Core and ASP.NET Core.
  • Proven expertise working with Microsoft Azure cloud services and managing CI/CD workflows via Azure Pipelines (Azure DevOps).
  • Deep understanding of PostgreSQL databases and the ability to optimize data-driven backend systems.
  • Strong familiarity with monitoring and logging using Azure Application Insights.
  • Solid grasp of backend architecture patterns, with a strong preference for experience in Anchor Model.
  • Mastery of Git and hands-on experience following a classic GitFlow workflow.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to debug and stabilize complex, existing codebases under pressure.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the broader team.

Desired Skills & Knowledge (Good to Have):

  • Ability to work with React to develop and maintain MS Office Add-ins within the Microsoft Office package.
  • Experience managing and performing basic operations with Azure Resources and Infrastructure.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude toward working on projects in a stabilization and maintenance phase.
